Rear Connection
(center console)

It is fast and easy to install at the back or the front of the center console (see installation videos below), providing access to over 95% of all actions. However, features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Autopilot Penalty Prevention, and Muting the ISA system will not work with this installation method!

Front Connection
(right A-pillar)

It is installed at the front right A-pillar, which comes on all AMD Ryzen cars produced after 2020 and some late 2020 Intel models. This method provides access to 100% of all actions, including Blind Spot Monitoring, Autopilot Penalty Prevention, and Muting the ISA system. *If your car has an Intel processor, first check if it has an OBD port at this location.

To determine if your vehicle has an AMD* processor, navigate to Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information on your Tesla main screen.

This cable is also suitable for Tesla Model Y Mid-Range built in Austin, US, aka Structural Battery Pack, and all vehicles with an LFP battery.

*Note: Some Model 3/Y vehicles built in late 2020 with Intel processors can have an OBD port at the front right A-pillar, so please check for yourself if your car has one before ordering.
