Pros:

• Installed at the rear OBD port under the rear vent on Model 3/Y built between late 2020 and early 2025 (without Model 3 Highland).
• Only requires taking apart one plastic piece, which takes about 1 minute.

Cons:

• Does not provide access to features only available via the Front Installation, like Blind Spot Monitoring, Autopilot Penalty Prevention, and Muting the ISA system.

*On newer Model Y vehicles built between June 2023 and January 2025 (not Juniper), the rear OBD port can be moved from the back of the central console to the front left side of it, regardless of whether your car is LHD or RHD. See the installation video on our YouTube channel.

• Installed at the front right A-pillar OBD port on all LHD or RHD cars, allowing for all the wiring to stay out of sight
• Giving access to all features and automations available for that model.

Cons:

• Requires taking off 3 plastic pieces from the panel, which takes about 15 minutes to do.

*All Model 3 and Y built from late 2020 until late 2024 (except the Juniper Model), have a front OBD port at the right A-pillar. Sometimes the cables are a bit tucked in, but they are still there.
The cable for this type of installation is the same as that used on the Model 3 Highland, but the Model Y Juniper uses another type.
